We work closely with our clients throughout the entire process - from creating the job description to finding the right candidate for the position. And we won’t quit until the job is done.
Our approach is described below.
Develop Overall Search Process
We begin by working with the Firm to determine the overall search process, including the timeline of activities, your Interviewing Team, the starting date for the position and the transition plan to insure a successful new hire for the Firm.
Create the Job Description
Next, we work with Firm leadership to develop a comprehensive job description, taking into account the Firm’s history, its culture and its future needs and priorities. Thoughtful consideration is given to reporting relationships and an appropriate salary range.
Market the Position
Next, we circulate the opportunity throughout our vast network of contacts to identify and recruit qualified and interested candidates. We post the position in selected Job Banks and other forums, and we tap into our deep, long-standing relationships with law firm professionals and selected organ ization. We also put our database that includes more than 10,000 contacts in the legal industry to work for our client.
Collect and Screen All Resumes
We will collect all resumes, then screen and carefully review them with the Firm’s Interviewing Team.
Narrow the Field to the Top Candidates
At this point, we work with the Firm to identity the top five or six candidates based on their work experience and other qualifications for the position.
Conduct Initial Telephone Interviews
Next, we conduct initial telephone interviews with the top candidates in order to further narrow the field to two or three candidates for in-person interviews with representatives of the Firm.
Participate in Onsite Interview Process
We coordinate all aspects of the onsite interviews with the finalists, and will be at the Firm to lead and coordinate in the interview process. We will meet with the Interviewing Team in advance to bring them up to speed, review qualifications of the final candidates and answer any questions they might have.
Job Offer and Acceptance
Finally, we stick with our clients through the job offer and acceptance phase of the assignment.
The entire search takes approximately 8-10 weeks depending on scheduling and timely decision-making by the Firm.
